Board Governance 101
Being part of a board is serious work. You have a mandate to carry out with the service that your foundation provides, you have staff that depend on you to have vision, act with integrity, responsibility and transparency. Sometimes you are expected to roll up your sleeves and pitch in and always, as members of the leading entity of an organization, you are encouraged to act with respect to the staff you employ, while taking tough decisions. You are expected to share your skills and expertise in order to help the foundation which you are a part of flourish and do great things for the community.

Board Governance 101 is a 50 min look at the basics of board leadership and governance. The areas of discussion are elementary and the tools given are practical. This workshop is for those that are thinking about joining a board and that have never been on boards before, those that have been on boards before and have never attended such a workshop. It's even for those who have been on boards and have attended such workshops but are education junkies... Who knows? you may want to share your experience with the group.
