In 1990 Jose moved with her husband to St. Maarten.  Until 2012 she worked as an educator at several secondary schools. After her 11 year tenure as Principal at the St. Dominic High School, she took up a next journey as an independent consultant and project advisor for different educational and funding organizations. Next to that she co-founded Foresee Foundation in 2013 and executed a number of educational and social projects by working with local non profits.
